Brittany Brooks

Studio Director, DMA
Tap, Jazz, Acro, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, Pre-Dance, Turns & Jumps, Stretch & Strength, Tumbling, Adult Tap

Competitive & Recreational Choreographer

Brittany’s love for dance was evident at a young age. Trained in many forms growing up, it wasn’t long until she entered the Competitive dance world. Her successful Competitive career allowed Brittany to train with top choreographers and take Master Classes from highly recognized individuals in the dance industry.

When her Competitive career came to an end, Brittany decided that her passion in life was dance and that she wanted to provide children the same opportunity she was lucky enough to have growing up. This is when Brooks Academy of Dance was born. In 2010, the doors opened with a firm belief that students deserve to have fun, make friends and be active with quality dance education. Brittany then pursued education with Dance Masters of America successfully passing exams in Tap, Jazz & Modern and became a member of DMC Chapter #38 in 2017. She is also currently working on becoming a member of the Professional Adjudicator’s Alliance and plans to begin education with Acrobatic Arts.

Brittany's students have been extremely successful in the Competitive dance world. Her students have competed at a National level and have earned awards with their technique training. Her choreography has also been recognized at multiple competitions by dance professionals, even winning Best Choreography of the Competition.

She firmly believes that dance is more than just dance. The studio is a place where every student should feel safe, a place where they are free from judgment to express themselves. Watching her students not only become technically trained, beautiful dancers but also upstanding citizens in society who are compassionate and independent young adults, makes her feel a powerful sense of pride.

Rae Jones

Recreational Choreographer

Born and raised in Tillsonburg, Rae began her dancing career at the young age of 2. When Brooks Academy of Dance opened it’s doors, Rae was excited to join the BAD dance family and was eager to become a member of the Competitive Team in 2012. Currently a Competitive dancer at BAD, Rae has won numerous overalls, special awards and scholarships which has allowed her to expand her dance training and education. She was highlighted for this and was given a scholarship to New York City to attend classes and learn from world renowned choreographers and artists, including the infamous Rockettes. Rae then ended her scholarship and experience performing in Times Square on New Years Eve.

Her skill and talent has given her opportunities such as back up dancing for Chad Price, who was an opening Act for Tyler Shaw and became a backup dancer for motivational speaker and performer, Saidat.

Following her passion, she has helped spread love and positivity at “Be a Champ” Day. Performing in front of 10,000 students at Budweiser Gardens was an uplifting and pivotal moment in her dancing career. She then continued on to perform at Nationals in Florida, Disney World as well as various events in her community.

Rae is always looking forward to expanding her dance training and pedagogy and is now excited to pass on her knowledge of dance and her passion, to her students at BAD. She is excited to join the staff at Brooks Academy of Dance and watch her students grow and succeed as dancers and people.
